Osha & Phil – Brisbane Wedding

This was a special day for my wife (Anna) and I..We have been looking forward to this day for a long time in the joining of Osha and Phil as husband and wife… I met Phil pretty much on my arrival to Brisbane from Melbourne some 12 years ago and have been as some would say it on a spiritual journey with Phil for at least the first 5 years learning his 5 step program for wisdom and self empowerment. Phil is the owner and director of the Inner Harmony Centre in Bulimba Qld. Anna ( Her first time she has been my assistant) and I caught up with Osha, Surini, Thilini, and Osha’s sister Gayatri at home for a few getting ready photos before the ceremony. It was great to catch up again with Desiree from Desiree Make Up after such a long time and Michelle Patterson from Marry Us who as always conducts a beautiful ceremony!

I had to wear two hats for the day as I was a guest and photographer for the day – I certainly enjoyed both hats very much as you could see how much they are both very much connected as one, and so much in love with one another. Wow what a family with Osha, Phil and the two girls, Surini and Thilini.

Chapter 2 of the journey begins!!!

Anna & Cameron – Gold Coast Wedding

Anna and Cameron arrived in Queensland from China the day before there big day was to be held and they were hoping for some fantastic Queensland weather, but unfortunately this was not to be as the rain had set in for the afternoon and this was not going to dampen their celebrations.

Just before heading off for the Ceremony down at the Burleigh Heads Surf Club and before the rain started, we were delighted to get a few photos of Anna & Cameron and the family in and around the grounds of the Marriott on the Gold Coast before the girls and I took the Limo to the surf club for the ceremony. It would have been nice to have had the formalities held outside, but surf club did a great job getting everything ready for an inside ceremony in record time as the rain was not going to stop!!

Again it was great to work with with Bernice & Alex from All Your Memories

Anna & Cameron will be heading home to do this all over again in China. Cameron has called China home since 2008 and is fluent in the language and loves the culture. Cameron also travels China, Asia, and the world as a presenter on the Chinese version of Getaway!!

We had a really great time despite the weather, and I wish you both a big congratulations once again :0)

Tamika & Haydn – Gold Coast Wedding

After a day of pouring rain at Saturdays wedding I think everyone had their fingers crossed that today’s would not rain upon us, and it didn’t..!!!

Headed down to the Gold Coast to Photograph the wedding of Tamika and Haydn and I started off at the Mantra Sun City on the Gold Coast with the boys first and headed upstairs to then capture the girls. Then off to the marina with the girls to catch the 38 foot luxury yacht called the Poppycat to the beautiful An Island Hideaway on South Stadbroke Island What a great location for a wedding, great bridal party and guests…

I really had a great day :0)

Julie & Paul – Brisbane Wedding

The call for today was torrential rain!!

I was delighted to be capturing Julie & Paul’s wedding day and the rain did not put a dampener on the celebrations. What can you do, I say let’s have fun and Julie and Paul had just that with love and laughter all day.

With a little thinking on our feet and the use of umbrellas we managed to capture a few location shots in and around the house and everyone was happy to get a little wet for the cause. Again it was nice to be working with All Your Memories and juggling all of those Umbrellas, or lets say some of the guest that were doing the juggling.

Joy & Majid – Gold Coast Wedding

I recently had the pleasure in capturing the big day of Joy & Majid on the Gold Coast. The ceremony was held at the Marriott Gold Coast with close family and friends and the day was superb. The Marriott was full to the brim with high flyer’s attending the magic millions thoroughbred horse sales on the Gold Coast. The day was all about Joy and Majid, not about the big players in Australian horse racing.

A big thank you to Bernice & Bill from All your Memories Film & Video for working in well once again!!!

Elvina & John – Brisbane Wedding

This was my last wedding for 2011 and what a blast it was, being just prior to Christmas!!

Elvina & John came from Melbourne to tie the knot in front of a very large group of family and friends who came from all parts of the world to celebrate this very special occasion. Being a Tongan wedding their were many traditions throughout the day and this was fantastic being apart of the day. Two of the traditions at a wedding is the Mat is used for when the bride is getting ready and the exchange of mats – A tradition of a Tongan wedding is the gifting of fine mats and food. The offerings of Kola (Treasures) are made throughout the wedding feast by the bride & grooms family…….

As I said it was a great day with a beautiful ceremony at the Wesley Kangaroo Point Uniting Church, and everyone had lot’s of fun and laughs, great food and dancing. Below are just a few photos from the day!!!

Sara & William – Brisbane Wedding

I recently had the pleasure of capturing Sara & Williams big day in and around Brisbane. The day was just full of sunshine and happiness right through out the whole day with the ceremony being held at Brett’s Wharf in Hamilton. I thought this would be my last wedding at Breets wharf because it was due to be closed in January 2012 due to road widening of kingsford Smith Drive, but now has a reprieve until sometime in 2015. It was a beautiful location for the ceremony and a great day was had by all…:0)

I hope that you both had a great time on your honeymoon in Hawaii… :0)

Michelle & Nick – Brisbane Wedding

I recently had the pleasure in shooting the wedding of Michelle and Nick. They chose the 11/11/11 at the Brisbane Registry to tie the knot and the ceremony finished at 10.59 just in time for the 11am and the minute silence. We had a little time after the ceremony and before the reception to take a few location photos, but first Nick picked up some Sushi and with Michelle’s family who arrived in from China a few days earlier and a mini bus we all headed down to New Farm Park for lunch. It was quite nice to have a little extra time than the usual to shoot the location photos!!

We headed back to the Stamford Plaza Hotel for both the boys and girls to make a wardrobe change before the reception got underway at the Bavarian Bier Cafe in Eagle Street.

Stars for a morning. We had channel 7 and channel 9 filming for an 11/11/11 segment. It was a full house in terms of equipment..

Tanya & Mike – Brisbane Wedding

Anna and myself had the pleasure to attend our very good friends Tanya & Mikes wedding as guests, but I couldn’t help myself to at least take a few photos of the couple in question. They had a late Tuesday afternoon ceremony at Eves On The River in Teneriffe and apart from being a little windy the ceremony was very beautiful. After a little stroll across the road for a few location photos, and then it was back to Eves On the River for the reception – I must say the Kangaroo and Eye Fillet was just to die for!!!

Guys, I hope that your almost 4 weeks in Thailand is relaxing and fun, and Anna and myself look forward to catching up on your return.

Sarah & David – Brisbane Wedding

The day that the Ophthalmologist marries the Audiologist :0) Wow what a day – I recently had the pleasure to capture the day of David and Sarah in Brisbane. I met with the boys at home, and Sarah’s & David’s Sausage dog Bento who was kitted out in his own tuxedo and looked the part. We all had a lovely day with Lot’s of laughter, love, and fun, with some very funny moments. I had a little accident with a garden hose and the boys took over the shooting for a few minutes. David is an avid photographer and knows his way around a Canon 5D – Some funny photo’s taken!!!

I then met up with the girls at the Marriott and the girls were very relaxed and chilled out while getting ready, and then after a few quick photos I headed off to St Marys at Kangaroo Point to meet up with the boys again before the ceremony.

After a few location photos, we headed off to the classy Customs House for the reception… :0)

A big thank you to Bill & Bernice from All Your Memories who shot the video, and as always a pleasure to work with you guys.

Congratulations once again guys and I hope that you enjoyed you’re honeymoon in Thailand… :0)
